WomenSafe Raffle Tickets
Friends of WomenSafe is currently offering raffle tickets for a six to eight day cruise to the Caribbean or $2,600 in cash. The drawing will be held Sept. 28. Tickets are $10 each or three for $25.
Proceeds benefit the free services and accommodations offered to victims of domestic violence at The Green House in Munson.

With the Arts
Gunter Schwegler, well-known Geauga County silk-painting artist, currently has an exhibit of his work on display at The Art Gallery, 4134 Erie St. in Willoughby. Gunter’s exquisite works of art are in collections worldwide. The exhibit continues through the month of February. For more information, call 440-946-8001.
NDES Open House, Mass
Notre Dame Elementary School and Preschool will host an NDES Mass Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. at the Sisters of Notre Dame Chapel followed by an open house, from noon to 3 p.m., at the school located at 13000 Auburn Road in Munson. Additional school tours are available at 9:30 a.m. the first Tuesday of every month.

Amateur Radio Association
The Geauga Amateur Radio Association (GARA) will hold its next meeting Jan. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Geauga County Emergency Operations Center, 12518 Merritt Road, Munson. The monthly meetings are open to all licensed “hams” and those interested in learning about this type of international “talk radio.”

Celebrate Recovery
Morning Star Friends Church, 12500 Ravenna Road, Munson, will hold its next meeting for the Christian 12-Step Addictions Recovery Program on Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. The weekly meetings are free and offer support, information and encouragement to those seeking to end an addiction.
Pre-registration is not required. There will be fellowship and a meal served at 6:15 p.m.

Timbertots, ages 3-5 accompanied by an adult, are invited to a guided tour featuring the world of wonderful woodpeckers on Jan. 29 from 10-11 a.m. or 1-2 p.m. at the Geauga Park District’s Rookery on Cedar and Rockhaven roads in Munson.

At the Senior Center
The popular and fun exercise class, Chair Zumba with Vaia, will be held Jan. 29 at 10:30 a.m. at the Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Munson. All fitness levels are welcome. Registration is not necessary.
Tax assistance will be available, by appointment only, to seniors, 60 years and older, starting Feb. 2 at the Chardon Senior Center. The service will be available from Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, which will need two forms of identification from each taxpayer using this service, an original or copy of the taxpayer’s social security card and a photo identification.

Free Sunday Dinner

With the Genealogical Society
The Geauga County Genealogical Society (GCGS) will host an informative program, “What Happens to My Stuff When I Die,” on Feb. 10 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Bostwick Room at the Chardon Public Library on Chardon Square.
Guest speaker Carla Cgeleski will present her popular lecture on “avoiding the trash for your stash.” The monthly meetings of the GCGS are free. Light refreshments served.
