Searching for Snakes

June 6, 10 a.m. to noon

Bring a sense of adventure to the Rookery while exploring likely habitats to find snakes and other reptiles and amphibians. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

Climb, Ride, Glide & Play

High ropes and boat borrowing are back in the Geauga Park District this summer.

At Claridon Woodlands, climb 32 feet into the treetops by easily reserving a climb time online. If space is available, same-day reservations can also be made online, by phone or onsite. Typical hours of operation are Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays and Mondays from 12-6 p.m.

Age and weight restrictions, safety guidelines and more can be found on the park district website. Plus, new this year, climb once to get a Frequent Climber Card, and two more times this season to earn an exclusive carabiner fidget spinner.

Then, at Headwaters Park, borrow a kayak, canoe or paddleboat on Saturdays and Sundays between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays between 12-7 p.m. All boats are available on a first-come, first-served basis for up to two hours on the water.
