Summer Camps

Notre Dame Elementary Preschool, 13000 Auburn Road, is accepting reservations for four summer camps programs for 3-5 year olds.

Camps are held on the grounds of the preschool and offer programs in farm and jungle animals, pets, amphibians, science experiences and more, along with hiking and treats.

Geauga Park District is accepting reservations for its third annual adventure camps, which start mid-June and are offered in week-long forms for grades 5-7 and grades 8-10.

The sessions include natural science with park biologists and extreme astronomy.

GPD’s summer camps are sponsored by the Judge Charles “Chip” Henry Institute for Outdoor Adventure.

Lincoln Day Dinner

The Geauga County Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Day Dinner will be held April 11, 6:30 p.m., at the Fowlers Mill Golf Course, 13095 Rockhaven Road.

Sharon Day, co-chair of the Republican National Committee, will be the guest speaker.

A VIP reception will be held at 5 p.m. and dinner served at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the VIP reception and dinner are $90 and dinner only is $60.

Spring Open House at NDCL

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School, 13000 Auburn Road, will hold its annual spring open house for prospective sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students and families on April 14, 6-8 p.m.

In conjunction with this event, NDCL artists will exhibit their works along with music and refreshments.

With the Genealogical Society

Sara Preuter will be the guest speaker at the April 14, 7-8:30 p.m., meeting of the Geauga County Genealogical Society.

Prueter’s speech, “Using Shutterfly for Short Family Stories,” will include a demonstration.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Bostwick Room of Chardon Library.

Reminder

Munson Township Easter Egg Hunt will be held rain, snow or shine, April 4, 10:30 a.m., at Munson Township Park, 12641 Bass Lake Road.

The Easter bunny will be there at 10 a.m. to meet and greet the youngsters, and help them with the hunt.

Children will be divided into two age groups: 2-5 years and 6-8 years. Bring your own baskets or bags for the collections, which will be turned in for “goodies.”
