Caring Community
Students in Ms. Kristine Edwards’ fourth-grade classroom at Kenston Intermediate School took Superintendent Nancy Santilli’s challenge to find what inspires them to heart. Creating a “Care Club” for pets, students raised over $120, gathered blankets and made or donated toys for Rescue Village, Geauga Humane Society. Ms. Nicole Latosky, education coordinator, visited the students’ classroom along with therapy dogs and their owners. Each commended the children for their hard work, efforts and being an inspiration to them.
Ms. Latosky stated, “It’s wonderful to be with such young kids who care so much!”
Students were so happy with their achievement summarizing the reason behind their Club CEFA, “Care Enough For Animals: Adopt one until there is none!”
Heartfelt Donation
