Caller didn’t want to stay on the line because the cow was on her porch and she was afraid it was going to kick out her windows. This is an on going problem with the neighbors. The cow is now going towards the back of the neighbors property which backs up to Rt. 322. Deputy advised the homeowner keep the cow in her yard till the husband returns.

The complainant received a suspicious phone call from an unknown person requesting money. The complainant was advised this was a scam and not to respond. She was also given advice to prevent further incidents. She was advised to call the Sheriff’s Office if she had any further questions.

April 25

6:02 p.m., Old State Road, Hambden. Caller states someone is unloading a tractor and the gate is open. Caller states the gate should not be open, and their are no farm helpers working right now. Owner states that somebody is scrapping the farm equipment off of her property without her permission. The suspects were gone upon arrival; however, they did drag numerous pieces of equipment out of the wooded area and closer to the roadway. Request extra patrol checks.

April 30

1:27 p.m., Ravenna Road, Newbury. A navy blue van with a ladder rack on top was sitting at the end of our long driveway, near the basketball hoop. It headed left down Butternut, unknown which way, when they saw my mother-in-law watching them. This occurred around noon. I am concerned because our house was broken into in January, and there is a warrant for the suspect’s arrest. This vehicle was also seen in the area Monday across the street. Want this on record and will call if the vehicle is seen in the area again. Deputy checked area and was unable to locate vehicle.

THEFT

April 29

6:18 p.m., Valentine Road, Thompson. Caller states that his neighbor has been stealing bricks from him slowly. He made a report with Thompson PD on Monday night but it is still ongoing. He states more bricks have been stolen and that the neighbor is building a fire pit out of them. He does not think that any law enforcement spoke with the neighbor

regarding the incident. Deputy advised. Complainant just wanted to report the same thing he did to Thompson PD two days ago. No further incidents since then.
