AGENCY ASSIST
June 5
4:36 p.m., Merritt Road, Munson. Inmate is being pink slipped. He needs transported. He is violent and has been smearing feces, bodily fluids and toilet water on himself for the past few days. Jail advised several officers will be needed to control this person.
ANIMAL PROBLEM
June 6
10:34 p.m., Burton Windsor Road, Burton. In a building diagonal from this location, sounds like dog fighting. House on south side of road. Caller would like to remain anonymous. UTL/GOA. Caller called back at 11:16 p.m. to advise fighting again.
June 8
6:46 a.m., Mayfield Road, Munson. Large snapping turtle in the roadway. Cars swerving to miss it. UTL/GOA.
ASSAULT
June 6
8:43 p.m., Kinsman Road, Newbury. Caller states boyfriend attacked her. No weapons, both parties have been drinking. Deputy spoke with both parties who were highly intoxicated. Female said they got into an argument about doing drugs. She pushed him and he took off in her car and came back a few minutes later. Female says he started arguing with her again and pushed her down. Female said he was talking about doing cocaine and she got mad because she had an uncle who died from cocaine. Neither party wished to pursue criminal charges.
CITIZEN ASSIST
June 5
7:58 a.m., Elm Drive, Newbury. Male in the lobby of post to make amends with sheriff’s office for the past 10 years of drunkenness. Male stopped to say he was sorry to all the deputies who had to deal with him while he was under the influence of drugs. He has been putting his life back on the right track.
June 6
6:25 a.m., Longview Trail, Auburn. Would like to speak with a deputy regarding her daughter’s boyfriend, who gave her what he said were herbs. Her daughter was then admitted into hospital ill. Caller thinks he is selling drugs and would like some advice on what to do. She also does not want him on her property again. No other information available at this time.
June 7
12:41 p.m., Kensington Court, Auburn. Post 1 lobby call. Male has video of his wife screaming at him. Advice given. No criminal activity took place. Complainant wanted officer to hear audio of wife’s language.
CITIZEN DISPUTE
June 6
3:48 p.m., Chardon Road, Chardon. Neighbor keeps coming over and telling him what to do. He has asked his neighbor to leave him alone and not to tell him what to do with his own property. Neighbor would not listen, so caller told him he would call the sheriff’s office and request a deputy to speak with him about it. Dispute started today over mowing the lawn and a property marker. Caller states this neighbor bothers him anytime he tried to do anything at his own property that he doesn’t like.
June 7
11:06 a.m., Bainbridge Road, Auburn. Ongoing family dispute over passing of father and his home and property. Female was yelling, putting her finger in my face, trying to take father’s property. She threatened to beat me up; she was swinging at me and had to be pulled away and restrained by my brothers. Female caller is upset over her father’s recent passing and this woman attempting to take the property with no one’s permission. Two brothers and a sister are having dispute over splitting their parents’ estate up. Parties advised they would need to go to probate court to resolve issue.
FRAUD
June 5
1:02 p.m., Lower Chelsea Drive, Munson. Female in lobby of post to report fraud. Someone opened a credit card in her name and SSN, and ordered $4,552.44 worth of Victoria’s Secret. Bank will investigate the fraud since the address is in Connecticut.
June 6
5:44 p.m., Old State Road, Hambden. Caller was given four fake $100 bills. He took them to bank for deposit and they were confiscated. Suspect’s name given.
June 8
9:11 a.m., Old State Road, Hambden. Customer paid with check on closed account, for $1,006.65. Report taken.
JUVENILE PROBLEM
June 11
7:58 p.m., Georgette Drive, Burton. Teenage daughter has left the house under false pretense. She is supposed to be at her grandmother’s, but is not. Caller heard she is with an adult male in Ashtabula. Mother is worried for her safety. ACSO said she would have to go through GCSO to get help. She has been gone since Tuesday afternoon.
SUSPICIOUS
June 5
5:10 a.m., Kirtland Road, Chardon. Received 911 call, male yelling in the background that he needs someone here and a female saying what’s your freaking problem. Sending squad. Per KTPD, altercation, no medical needed at this time. Dispute between son, mother and father, after son came home night prior and admitted using heroin after Cavs game. Parents said son is not allowed to live at home and use drugs at same time. Son agreed to receive treatment. No evidence recovered. Kept peace, provided advice, offered parents potential solutions to problem with son.
June 9
10:10 a.m., GAR Highway, Hambden. Older male walking in area between Ready Go and the tavern, wrapped up white blanket, going through the trash cans. Deputy spoke with the male who admitted to looking for food in the trash cans. He said he was walking to a park in New York and an unknown person gave him a place to stay in Chardon last night. Male left area walking eastbound on Route 6. No further action at this time.
5:25 p.m., Stone Road, Newbury. Caller advised her came home and his elderly neighbor was in his garage with a gun. Caller asked him what he was doing and the neighbor stated he was looking for his groundhog. Neighbor has since walked back to his home. He was carrying a pistol. Deputy advised neighbor to stay off caller’s property.
THEFT
June 5
1:12 a.m., Kinsman Road, Newbury. Black Dodge Caliber. Took a 12-pack of Twisted Tea, but left $15 on the counter and left. Left westbound.
TRAFFIC OFFENSE
June 5
12:47 p.m., McCall Road, Parkman. Subject on an unusually small bicycle is heading northbound on Route 88 from Soltis Road. Caller believes he is creating a huge hazard and nearly struck the male because you cannot see him.
