Kindergarten Circle Time
Kindergartners across the district look forward to the opportunity to gather as a class and collectively participate in the same activity or share about themselves.
Typical circle time activities feature interactive experiences including Brain Breaks, songs, weather forecasts, reading stories and hands-on activities while learning to be good listeners and respecting one another.
All State Choir
Kenston High School junior Catherine Zickert has auditioned for membership and was selected for the 2016 Ohio Music Education Associa-tion (OMEA) All-State Choir. Cath-erine is a member of the Kenston High School Chorus, a member of Varsity Jazz and Kenston Center Stage.
Catherine will be singing first soprano with the 161 voice All State Choir. Members for this choir were chosen from more than 900 applicants from across the state of Ohio.
The OMEA All State Choir will be rehearsing and performing at the OMEA State Convention at the Cincinnati Convention Center Jan. 28-30 under the direction of Dr. Paul Rardin, director of choral activities at Temple University.
All Sports Senior Night
All In Kenston! Kenston Athletic Boosters, Bomber Elite, Musical Arts Association of Kenston, PTO and Kenston Community Education invite the Kenston community to attend the tailgate prior to All Sports Senior Nigh Sept. 18 before the football game against Riverside
Pregame activities and a spaghetti dinner begin at 5:30 p.m. Be part of the “tradition.” Theme is the ’90s.
Homecoming Parade
Kenston’s annual homecoming parade will take place Sept. 24. The parade, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will feature the Kenston band and drill team, building floats and individual participants. The theme this year is “Hollywood.”
The parade will follow a route similar to past years. Please park between the middle school and intermediate school and view from the lawn of the middle school.

Internet Safety Event
About 35 percent of tweens, ages 11 and 12, use social networking sites. Many post personal information.
On Sept. 30, Kenston PTO will host nationally recognized internet safety presenter Jesse Weinberger at 7 p.m. in the Robert A. Lee Auditorium at Kenston High School, 9500 Bainbridge Road.
Her program, “Do you know how to keep your children safe in an always connected digital society?” will cover topics including Understanding Social Media, Cyberbullying, Sexting and Sexual Predation.
The free event is for adults only.
