The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office Nov. 6 through Nov. 12. In total, the sheriff’s office handled 328 calls during this seven-day period.

ANIMAL PROBLEM

Nov. 7

10:33 a.m., Ravenna Road, Newbury. A man came to my door and said my dog bit him.?He left on foot. I don’t know his name. I know his face, he used to rent from my brother a long time ago. Don’t know where he is now. Didn’t see a car. Don’t know if he needs help or not. Deputy checked property and outbuildings for the male at complainant’s request. Complainant stated that the male used to rent a cabin here 10 or so years ago and wants to rent again. Complainant advised to call back if male returns.

EXTRA PATROL

Nov. 7

8:15 p.m., Valley Road, Auburn. Caller’s son got his Black Ford Explorer stuck down near the ramp at LaDue Marina off Valley Road. It has a kayak on top of it. He will be back in the morning to remove it. He has requested, if we are in the area overnight, to do a drive by and check on it. He was unable to secure the vehicle.

JUVENILE PROBLEM

Nov. 6

8:07 p.m., Bundysburg Road, Middle-field. Large Amish party with loud noise and drinking. They leave beer cans all over my property and roadway. Caller believes that they are younger teenagers. Deputy advised. Area checked quiet.

Nov. 12

7:27 p.m., Chardon Windsor Road, Hambden. Male in the lobby reporting his car struck by a bullet. Male advised there was a small paint chip on the driver’s side door, unknown what it was from. Male advised he was not sure if anyone actually shot at the vehicle or not. He advised he was not going to fix it, just did not know what to do. Advice was given.

SUSPICIOUS

Nov. 11

6:21 p.m., Bundysburg Road, Parkman. Female was crying and saying the devil is chasing her. Pulled into caller’s driveway. She went northbound on Bundysburg Road. Black vehicle, possibly a Tahoe, missing one light in the front. Said her mother is in a cult. Taller female, soft spoken, white and dressed in white clothes. Caller states female was driving erratically when she left. Deputy unable to locate.

THEFT

Nov. 11

4:19 p.m., Rapids Road, Burton. Small blue vehicle stole his dog. The vehicle was last seen headed south. The dog is a beagle. It has tags. Deputy advised. One year old beagle was taken by a female driving a small blue car when the dog ran ahead from it’s owner.

Nov. 6

8:50 p.m., Nicki Lane, Hambden. Older Trans Am. It is doing burnouts at the intersection of Venture and Nicki. Deputy located vehicle parked on Leader Lane. Spoke with the owner and advised him future reckless driving would result in a 6 point violation. He stated he understood and it would not happen again. Driving was not observed.

VANDALISM

Nov. 9

12:45 p.m., Winterberry Lane, Munson. Complainant just put in a new walkway and someone tried to knock a chunk off two weeks ago, and then yesterday he found more damage to the same area. House is vacant and complainant needs a report and extra patrol for the residence. Deputy advised. Responded to location and checked the cement walk. I only noted two chips that were cosmetic in nature and appeared to be caused by taking the forms out. No signs or evidence of vandalism. Spoke to the complainant and advised him his complaint is on file at the Sheriff’s Office.
