Fireplaces, Smoke and Carbon Detectors
The Munson Township Fire Depart-ment offers free inspection of fireplaces and smoke and carbon detectors to prevent tragedies that may occur with faulty equipment.
Also, driveways need to be cleared of snow in the event of fire to enable fire trucks and ambulance safe access.

Munson Twp. Scholarships
Munson Township is offering a minimum of two $500 scholarships to qualified high school seniors who will be graduating June 2016. To be eligible, the student must be a Munson resident, have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 and plan to attend an accredited two or four-year college, university, career or technical school in the fall of 2016.
Applications, which must be returned no later than Jan. 11, 2016, are available at all area high schools, Munson Township Hall or online at www.munsontwp.com.

At the Senior Center
The Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Munson, hosts free monthly pancake breakfasts the first Friday of each month from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Donations are welcome. Reservations for the Dec. 4 breakfast must be made no later than Dec. 1 by calling Christine Bacon at 440-279-2131; leave a message to RSVP.
Seniors who will be home alone Christmas Day and would like a free Christmas meal delivered Dec. 25 between 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. are asked to contact the Chardon Senior Center no later than Dec. 15 at 440-279-2130.
Breakfast With The Clauses
Munson Boy Scout Troop 91 will host its annual Breakfast With Santa at Munson Township Hall Dec. 5. Cost is $5 per adult and $3 for children 4-12 years. Children under 3 years are free.
There will also be photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at $10 each. Proceeds benefit Boy Scout Troop 91. Advance reservations required. Forms may be picked up at the township hall during office hours.

Free Sunday Dinner
St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road, Munson, will offer a free Sunday dinner Dec. 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a choice of soups, breads, desserts and more.
Donations are appreciated, but not necessary. For more information or to help prepare or serve the dinner, call 440-285-4641.
NDCL Santa Breakfast
Reservations are being accepted through Dec. 10 for Breakfast with Santa being held Dec. 19 from 9-11 a.m. in the cafeteria of Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, 13000 Auburn Road, Munson. There will be a continental breakfast, Christmas crafts, photos with Santa and more. Cost is $6 per person or $20 per family.
