Santa Arrives At GLTG

Dec. 12, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Visiting Santa Claus at the Geauga Theater on the Square in Chardon has become a holiday family tradition for many area residents. Visitors are encouraged to bring their cameras for photos with Santa.

In addition to giving Santa their Christmas list, children can make holiday crafts, decorate cookies and enjoy hot chocolate. Coffee will be available for parents. There will be face painting and Christmas bingo and more for youngsters of all ages.

Don’t miss the chance to also see a wonderful holiday production, “Mary Poppins.” The show runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. through Dec. 20. The show features Jill Zezut as Mary Poppins, Jake Spencer as Michael Banks, Brynna Wright as Jane Banks and Ryan Peterson as Bert.

Pre-Christmas Jam Session

Dec. 15, 6:30-8 p.m.

The Geauga Arts Network Group (GANG) extends an open invitation to all Geauga County musicians to participate in a pre-Christmas jam session with songs of the season led by local musician Nicky Bu-cur. This free event will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Heinen’s Cafe, 402 Center Street in Chardon, Ohio.

Bucur is a Ge-auga County resi-dent who, as a free-lance musician and hospice voluneer, has been bringing joyful music to area families and organizations for more than two decades. Musicians of all ages are welcome to bring their instruments and join in the fun. The jam session is open to the general public; no reservations are necessary.
