With the Arts
Ursuline College, 2550 Lander Road, Pepper Pike, will have an opening reception Jan. 22 from 5-9 p.m. for the first joint art exhibition of sister and brother artists, S.C. Versillee and Ricardo Derek J. Brown, titled “Embers and Ashes,” in the Florence Wasmer Gallery. Both artists have had work exhibited in galleries nationwide and have won numerous awards.
The event is free and open to all. Refreshments served. The exhibit continues through Feb. 26.

At the Rookery
The Geauga Park District invites children, ages 3-5 years with adults, to the “Wonderful World of Woodpeckers” on Jan. 23 from 10-11 a.m. at The Rookery in Munson.

At the Senior Center
The Geauga County Department on Aging offers free tax assistance to seniors 60 years and older, Feb. 1 through April 8, at the Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Munson. The service is by appointment only and not offered every weekday. Several forms of identification and information will be needed. For more information and reservations, call 440-279-2130.

Shutterbugs Camera Club
The Shutterbugs Camera Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 4 in the Bostwick Room of the Chardon Library, 110 E. Park St. in Chardon. The monthly meetings are free to all ages of photography artists and experience levels. Attendees are invited to bring in their work for friendly suggestions.

Casino Royale
WomenSafe will hold its annual Casino Royale Feb. 6 starting 6 p.m. at the Patrician Party Center, 33150 Lakeland Blvd. in Eastlake. There will be a sit-down dinner served at 6:45 p.m., casino games, auctions, raffle, wine pull and more.
Cost is $70 each or $500 for table of eight. Tickets are available online at www.womensafe.org or call 440-286-7154, ext. 248.
Proceeds benefit the free services and accommodations offered to victims of domestic violence and abuse at WomenSafe’s Green House on Ravenna Road in Munson.
