Grad Earns Top AP Honors
Andrew Most, a 2015 Kenston graduate, has been selected as one of only seven students in the world to earn a perfect on the AP Studio Art: 2-D Design Portfolio Exam, receiving the maximum score on each portion of the test.
Trevor Packer, College Board senior vice president, AP and instruction, said, “This outstanding accomplishment is likely a direct reflection of the top quality education being offered at Kenston High School. We applaud Andrew’s hard work and also the AP teachers responsible for engaging students and enabling them to excel in a college-level course.”
Kenston High School art teacher Todd Malkus has said of Andrew, “Unlike most high school students, he approaches color with curiosity and confidence and strives to experiment with new combinations of media and technique. His work exhibits a thorough understanding of color relations and theory.”
While it is not just his technical skill that set him apart as an artist, “Andrew is adaptable, ingenious, intuitive and able to think out of the box,” said Mrs. Andie Quinn, another of his art teachers.
Andrew received a full tuition scholarship for all four years to The College for Creative Studies in Detroit. He is currently studying Illustration.
He said, “If it weren’t for Kenston’s art program, I would have never gone to art school or achieved anything in the art world.”

D.A.R.E. officer Brian Reardon congratulated the fifth-graders during their Drug Alcohol Resistance Education graduation ceremony.
