Kindergarten Parent Meeting

Information night for incoming kindergarten parents will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 29 at Timmons Elementary School for children entering kindergarten in August. Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30.

Registration packets must be picked up at this time. Kindergarten registration packets are different from those posted online.

Kindergarten registration will be held on March 7 from 8-11 a.m. and 4:30-7 p.m. at Timmons Elementary School. Please bring the completed packet with support documentation for copying and a calendar to registration.

Science Olympiad

The Kenston High School Science Olympiad competed against 52 teams from five states at the Mentor Tournament. Individual results are: Geologic Mapping Austin Borland and Ashley Dvorak, third place; Dynamic Planet Austin Borland and Ashley Dvorak, sixth place; Electric Vehicle Sam Kiley and Ryan Sauder, sixth place; Green Generation Mara Cass and Evan Frank, sixth place; and Invasive Species Carmaletta Hinson and Ryan Sauder, eighth place.

Power of the Pen

The Kenston Middle School Power of the Pen team recently competed in districts. The eighth-grade team placed third, with Aubrey Taylor coming in first place and Annika Markoff placing seventh. Aubrey Taylor won Best of Round.

Two seventh-graders placed in the top 15, with Hannah Fender taking fourth place and Luci Blazek in 11th place. Noelle Badalotti received honorable mention for Best of Round. Kenston’s team is coached by Mrs. Kelly Krisfalusy.
