Volunteer Help Needed
The Geauga County Department on Aging is in need of volunteers from all over the county to help during the 2016 Geauga Spring Cleanup Days for seniors. The event kicks off April 2 and will run through May.
Many seniors can no longer rake their yards or flowerbeds, weed, clean up yard debris or wash windows. This is where volunteers can make a difference. By volunteering just a few hours of time, one can help a senior citizen remain independent and allow them to live in a safe, clean environment.
Individuals or groups who wish to volunteer need to complete volunteer forms. For volunteer information or to receive a volunteer sheet, contact Kristen Bibby, volunteer coordinator, at 440-279- 2138. Volunteers cannot be assigned until they completed and returned a volunteer sheet to the department on aging.
For information about spring cleanup, call Bob Debevits at 440-279-2135 or Sherri Davis at 440-279-2129, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
