Kenston High School Student Council officers for the 2016-17 school year were elected by their peers. They are: Grace Cannon and Carly Keane, co-presidents; Dana Kapcio and Kayla Klein, co-vice presidents; Anna Rini and Allison Kosinski, co-secretaries; and Jack Roman, treasurer.
Rotary Senior
Emily Tewksbury was selected Kenston’s Chagrin Valley Rotary Club Student of the Month for May. She maintains a 4.3 grade point average. She has earned academic departmental awards in advanced algebra, algebra II/trig, honors chemistry, honors English I, honors physical geology and honors statistics. Emily will graduate as an AP Scholar with Distinction, a community service cord, summa cum laude, Top 15 and with an honors diploma. As a sophomore, she was honored with the Hugh O’Brien Leadership Award.
Emily was a four-year member of the varsity soccer team, earning the highest GPA and scholar athlete award. She played basketball as a freshman and sophomore.
As a member of National Honor Society, Emily has volunteered at a variety of school and community activities.
She plans to attend the Ohio State University to potentially study biology or exercise science on a pre-medicine track.
