July Lunch & Learn
Geauga seniors, 60 years of age and older, are invited to the Geauga County Department on Aging’s Lunch & Learn for July. Come out and enjoy a free lunch and speaker who will discuss “Estate Planning Made Easy.”
This Lunch & Learn is the second installment in a six-part series that take place at various health care facilities around Geauga County. It will be July 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Chardon Healthcare Center, 620 Water St., Chardon.
Limited transportation to Chardon Healthcare is available from the Chardon Senior Center. To register, arrange transportation, or for more information on the series, call the Chagrin Falls Senior Center at 440-247-8510. Next month, the series will take place Aug. 19 at Holly Hill Health Care Residence.
Explore Geauga Parks
Join Melissa from the Chardon Senior Center to explore Geauga Park District through hiking and fishing. Fishing dates are July 15 at Bass Lake Preserve and July 29 at Walter C. Best Wildlife Preserve, from 8-10 a.m. Those fishing must bring their own fishing equipment and have purchased an Ohio Fishing License, required through the Ohio Division of Natural Resources.
Hiking date is July 20 at Observatory Park, from 8-10 a.m. Transportation is not available for these events. For more information, call Melissa at 440-279-2130, ext. 2126.
Concert in the Garden

Chardon Senior Center Pavilion
‘Joyful Bound’ is an eclectic performance duo that has been a part of the Northeast Ohio folk music scene for several years. Musicians Kathleen Vernon and husband Jeep Vernon are passionate and energetic performers of a wide range of traditional folk, early gospel and late 60s folk revival music.
The Chardon Senior Center is at 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Munson Township. This is a free event. Concessions will be available.

The Gadget Guru
Do you have questions or are you learning to use computers or laptops, your smart phone, the internet, your operating system, etc?
Our Gadget Guru will be at the Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Munson Tonwship, on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 12:30-3 p.m. to answer your basic technical questions.
Appointment duration will be 30 minutes per senior, with a maximum of five each session. Call Christine at 440-279-2131 to schedule an appointment.
