Principals Settle into New Offices
A small portion of West Geauga Schools’ summer work projects involves repainting and, in some cases, relocating principals’ offices. According to Superintendent Rich Markwardt, the offices look great.
New Westwood Elementary School Principal Deborah Nanney has moved her office into what was the original principal’s office in the building. Her “new” office is located at the convergence of four hallways with doors and windows on two. Years ago, the windows into the halls were painted. Now with the paint stripped from the glass, the bright, freshly painted interior is visible to those passing the space. A more private conference area adjoins the new office.
At Lindsey Elementary School, Principal Kim Menta is becoming acclimated to a freshly painted office that is done in white and West Geauga navy blue. That color scheme has been carried into each of the newly repainted offices.
At West Geauga High School, office space is being readied for Mr. Ron Dahlhofer. The new space was formerly two offices, one of which will now be designated as a conference room for Mr. Dahlhofer’s activities related to his responsibilities as district-level director of data and assessment. That new role constitutes a portion of his administrative duties at the high school. Mr. Jay Bishop, head building principal, remains in his current office.
According to Markwardt, “the locations, West Geauga colors and contents of the newly repainted offices reflect the styles and personalities of the principals who will occupy them. They look nice.”
