Marching Band Summer Practice
Cardinal High School marching band students have been back at school for several weeks working on their new music and routines for the upcoming fall season. They attended band camp at Edinboro University in Edinboro, Pa., the week of July 25 and everyone is excited to see what they bring to the field come September.
Student Volunteers Paint Baseball Dugouts
Led by Ms. Stotts, Cardinal Middle School science teacher, students Megan B., Noreen B., Matt C., Trey S., Annie R., Dawn S., Allissa N., Brice H., and Delaney L. volunteered a combined 46 and one-half hours to paint the dugouts at the baseball field during the month of July.
Students had to get creative to paint the school logo on the backside of the dugout, using an overhead projector and a transparency copy of the logo. Students waited until it got dark and then projected the logo up on the dugout to paint it just right. There are still a few finishing touches to be made, but overall the project is complete.
A big thank you goes to the Huskie Nation Foundation for providing a donation of paint for the project. The dugouts look great; thanks to everyone for the hard work.
