Yard Cleanup Volunteers Needed

The Geauga County Department on Aging is looking for volunteers to help in seniors’ yards. Many local seniors no longer rake their yards, weed flowerbeds, cleanup yard debris or wash windows. By volunteering just a few hours of time, you can help a senior citizen remain independent and allow them to live in a safe, clean environment.

Volunteers will generally be assigned close to their homes to make the most of their volunteer time; although, some volunteers may choose another area in which they would like to work.

Individuals or groups who can help are asked to contact the Department on Aging by calling Kristen Bibby, volunteer coordinator, at 440-279- 2138 or Sherri Davis at 440-279-2129, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
