Help for Mental Illness

Geauga County National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) offers support, education and advocacy for those affected by mental illness. Family-to-Family is a free educational program for family members, partners and friends of individuals with mental illness.

The 12-week class will meet Thursdays, beginning Feb. 2, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the NAMI office located at 107 South St. Suite 5, Chardon.

Bloodmobile

American Red Cross blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.

2017 Immunization Clinics

The Geauga County General Health District offers walk-in immunization clinics for children and adolescents through the age of 18. Residents must present an immunization record as well as a primary insurance card.

Parent Education Program

Family Pride of Northeast Ohio’s Cooperative Parenting Program, is an eight-week program to help any couples going through a separation or divorce master positive co-parenting skills. Participants will learn about the impact their conflict has on their children, common issues that children face during a separation or divorce, and practical skills they will need to resolve conflict in a healthy manner. Classes are held at our South Street office in Chardon. The program is free.

Participants may still join the class that meets Wednesday in February and March 1 from 6-8 p.m. Another session will be held Thursdays, April 20, 27 and May 4, 11, 18 and 25.
