- Geauga Mobile Library Lobby Stop: Feb. 15, 10-11:15 a.m.
- Non-Contact Boxing Class: Mondays, 2-3 p.m. The class will focus on strength, speed, balance, flexibility, brainwork and eye hand coordination through a variety of exercises and core conditioning. The goal is to improve overall fitness levels and to help maintain a strong healthy body while working on good posture and increasing core strength. Equipment is provided. Gadget Guru
Dennis Bacon, Geauga Department on Aging’s Gadget Guru, volunteers at the Chardon Senior Center twice a month to help seniors use technical gadgets such as smart phones, tablets and basic computer skills. He offers 30 minute, one-on-one sessions free of charge on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month from 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Mid-Winter Music Fest
Feb. 27, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Chardon Senior Center is hosting a mid-winter music fest featuring Sam Fosh Jr.
Come out and enjoy some great music, dancing, socializing and a summertime style meal including grilled hamburgers, hotdogs and potato salad.
Space is limited. Suggested donation is $12 per person.
Deadline to register is Feb. 15 if transportation is needed; otherwise deadline is Feb. 22.
A registration form must be completed and mailed along with one’s check made payable to GDA at 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Chardon OH, 44024.
Matter of Balance Class
University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center, Windsor House at Burton Health Care Center, Hospice of the Western Reserve and Geauga Department on Aging are offering Matter of Balance classes to Geauga seniors interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength and in preventing falls.
Classes will be held Fridays, March 3 to April 28, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Burton Health Care Center, 14095 E. Center St. in Burton.
Seniors will learn to manage concerns about falls as well as set realistic goals for staying active, learn how to stay safe at home, complete exercises to increase strength and balance and learn how to identify and control the fear of falling.
This class is free for registered seniors. Space is limited.
