Geauga Beef and Swine 4-H Club held a meeting on July 16 at 4 p.m. at the school building on the Geauga County Fairgrounds.
Savanah Laurenty gave her report on selecting a steer and one on how to show a pig. Aubrey Laurenty gave a report on the Yorkshire breed.
Members discussed buyers gifts and the finishing touches will be completed at the August meeting. They also talked about the barn decorations.
The club took up a food collection for the Fighting Hunger food drive. Members voted on the Geauga County Junior Fair Queen and King candidates.
The next meeting will be Aug. 13 and members will work on swine showmanship. (Submitted by Shannon McFaul, news reporter)
