Braided-n-Banded

Braided-n-Banded 4-H Club met on June 2. This year, the club donated some money to supporting family-a-fair. When it supports family-a-fair, it gives a family that does not have enough money to go to the fair, tickets for rides and extra money to buy food. The club also has a candy bar fundraiser, so if anyone sees a 4-H kid, buy a candy bar and support 4-H.

The 4-H theme for fair is “All things big and small, Geauga has them all.”

The club held a kickoff clinic on May 7. The judge gave members many good tips and notes that will help them improve their riding skills.

On May 29, the club had its very first combined English and Western horse show. Everything went smoothly and everyone had a great time. That same day, the club also had a state fair meeting and many riders signed up for their classes. There are three more combined shows this summer before the fair. The dates are June 12, July 17 and Aug. 6. (Submitted by Gabby Adams, news reporter)
