Geauga Beef & Swine 4-H Club had its first meeting for the 2016-17 year on Oct. 1 at Century Acres Farm. Officer elections were held. They are: Tyler Plants, president; Janine Hartory, vice president; Taylor Poff, secretary; Savannah Laurenty, treasurer; and Tatumn Poff and Shannon McFaul, news reporters.

Reports were assigned to the members for the year. Everyone was informed of steer tagging on Dec. 3 from 8-10 a.m. at the Geauga County Fairgrounds.

For community service, the club decided to do a meal for the Geauga County Home in February.

The next meeting is Feb. 5 at 4 p.m. at the School Building on the Fairgrounds. (Submitted by Tatumn Poff, news reporter)
