The Totally Dogs 4-H Club of Geauga County is getting ready for the new year. If you are between the ages of 5 and 19 as of Jan. 1, 2017, and would like to join, call 440-286-4329 or email jjbecka@windstream.net or Alicia.lucarelli3@yahoo.com.

This year, the club members will be working on obedience, rally, showmanship and agility with their dogs.

Breeders and Feeders

The Breeders and Feeders 4-H club held a meeting on Jan. 15 at 3:30 p.m. at the Munson Township Hall. All of the new officers assumed their duties including president Ryan Ivans, vice president Sarah Grinstead, secretary Meghan O’Reilly, treasurer Shane Delbo, roll call recorder Leah Fine, news reporter Garrett Hastings, historian Hannah Hutchinson, photographer Shannon Lewis, health chairmen Cooper Jochum, safety chairmen Wyatt Lewis, recreation director Isaac Hutchinson, sunshine Morgan Csontos, community service officer Reilly Jochum, correspondent secretary Lindsay Jochum, and Facebook page officer Jake Grinstead.

First, the club introduced all of its new members. All the officers gave their reports.

The club discussed important dates on the 4-H calendar, including the enrollment deadline for 4-H on April 15, quality assurance on May 6 and skillathon on July 15. Then, the club discussed the law on the new veterinary feed directive, the club T-shirt design ideas, the roller-skating party after the March meeting and the candy bar sale.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:10 p.m. The club’s next meeting will be held on Feb. 19 at 3:30 p.m. (Submitted by Garrett Hastings, news reporter)
