Yellow Brick Road Leads to Chardon Theater
Dorothy, the Scarecrow, a Tin Woodsman and a Cowardly Lion, and many more, will be following the yellow brick road to Chardon as Geauga Lyric Theater Guild (GLTG) presents “The Wizard of Oz.” The popular musical is based on the beloved movie classic, which celebrated its 75th anniversary this year.
The talented ensemble cast, directed by John Ballantyne, includes Allison Lehr as Dorothy, John Kolar as the Scarecrow, Justin Simons as the Tin Woodsman, Peter Percassi as the Lion, Angela Percassi as the Wicked Witch, Jessica Boalt as Glinda and Mark Miloro as the Wizard.
Sponsored by GEM Electric, written by Frank L. Baum with music and lyrics by Harold Arlen & E.Y. Harburg, background music by Herbert Stothart, based on the classical motion picture owned by Turner Entertainment Co. and distributed by Warner Bros., the show runs May 2-18.
Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, and a special rate of $10 for children ages 12 and under.
