Chardon Remembrance
On Feb. 26, at 7 pm, St. Mary Church will host a commemorative concert featuring the Chardon High School band and choir.
Chardon Ministerial Association is offering a Day of Prayer for Forgiveness, Healing And Peace on Feb. 27 in the sanctuary of Pilgrim Christian Church, 202 South Hambden St. on the southeast corner of Chardons Square.
The sanctuary will be open for prayer and reflection from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and various community ministers will lead the following brief services throughout the day:
• Invitation to Prayers and Meditation, 7:30 a.m. Rev. Chris McCreight of Pilgrim Christian Church
• Prayers and Meditation Rev. Dan Drew of Chardon Methodist Church, 9 a.m.; Rev. Chris McCann of St. Luke Episcopal Church, noon; and Rev. Laura Barbins of Celebration Lutheran Church, 3 p.m.
• Closing Prayers and Call for Peace, 5:30 p.m. Rev. Chris McCreight.
We seek to acknowledge our woundedness, our healing and our desire to seek peace and go forward as reconciled people.
World Day Of Prayer
Geauga Church Women United will celebrate World Day of Prayer on March 1 at Huntsburg Congregational Church, 12435 Madison Road, Huntsburg. All women of all churches are invited.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with breakfast. The program “I was a stranger and you welcomed me,” written by the women of France, will be presented.
Please bring nonperishables for the food cupboard.
