Christmas Tree Sale
This is the last week to purchase a Christmas tree from the Hambden Fire Department. They are beautiful freshly cut Fraser Firs. The trees are long lasting and hold their needles and ornaments so well.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the garage next to the fire station. The trees are reasonably priced and the fundraiser helps support the outstanding fire department. Come and check the trees out.
Food Drive
Hambden Country Inn is sponsoring a food drive to help Hambden families in need. Nonperishable food items can be dropped off at the inn any day after opening at 11 a.m.
Please join in to help make this a better holiday season for families who might not have such a good Christmas if it weren’t for the generosity of local residents. Isn’t this what Christmas is all about? Thanks for everyone’s help.
Hambden Country Inn is located at the intersection of state routes 6 and 166. Please help some of Hambden’s families this Christmas.
Christmas Tree Recycling
Hambden Township will once again be recycling Christmas trees at the township park. Residents may place trees in the recycling bin, which will be clearly marked, Dec. 28 through mid-January from dawn to dusk.
Residents will be responsible for placing the trees in the bin; there will be no one to assist you. Only Christmas trees may be placed in this container.
The township is able to provide the service through a grant received from Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste District.
Happy Holidays
Everyone at the township would like to wish all of the residents a very happy holiday season. We hope you have the opportunity to spend time enjoying the holidays with friends and family and maybe we’ll be lucky enough to have just a dusting of snow for Christmas. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Trustees Meetings
Trustees meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month at the township hall at 6:30 p.m. The zoning commission meets the first Monday of the month and the Zoning Board of Appeals meets when needed.
All meetings are advertised on the sign in front of the township hall. Trustees value residents’ input and look forward to having them attend the meetings.
