There is still time to purchase tickets for the “Afternoon with Michelle Knight” program Oct. 19, hosted by the Friends of Womensafe of Geauga County. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. at the auditorium of Notre Dame Cathedral Latin, 1300 Auburn Road. The program runs from 2-4:30 p.m. Tickets are $20. Advance reservations can be made by calling 440-285-3741.
Join family and friends for a rare opportunity to hear what Michelle Knight went through during her horrific 10-year incarceration at the hands of Ariel Castro at his home on Seymour Avenue in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland.
Steeple Chase Fundraiser
Paul Hederstrom will don his bike helmet on Oct. 18 and ride for seven hours along with fellow bikers in his quest to raise enough money to support the restoration of a very special steeple at the Pilgrim Christian Church located on Chardon Square.
I was happy to donate to the cause during the arts and craft show held at the church last Saturday. Donations can be made out to Pilgrim Christian Church, with “Steeple Chase” in the memo line, and mailed to 202 S. Hambden St., Chardon, OH 44072.
