CV Toastmasters Open House

April 5, 7-8:30 p.m.

Chagrin Valley (CV) Toastmasters will be holding an open house at the Chagrin Falls Public Library, 100 East Orange St. Toastmasters International is a nonprofit organization offering a go-at-your-own-pace curriculum of educational pathways and a welcoming environment for improving business communication skills.

The open house is free and open to all. Light refreshments will be served.

GGP Networking Event

Easter Basket Giveaway

Burton Health Care Center, 14095 E. Center St., will hand out free Easter baskets filled with eggs and goodies to the first 25 kids to drive through. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos.

Friends of WomenSafe Tea

April 9, 12:30 p.m.

Friends of WomenSafe will hold a spring tea at St. Mary’s banquet room, 401 North St., Chardon. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., with tea served at 1 p.m. Light sandwiches, scones, salads and desserts will be offered.

Guests will be treated to a presentation on flower arranging and the meaning of flowers. Cost is $30.

The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with a VIP reception followed by a plated dinner at 7 p.m.

Meet Me in the Morning

Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Meet Me in the Morning workshop focused on “Small Business and the Public Library” at the Bainbridge Library.

Genealogical Society Meets

April 12, 7-8:30 p.m.

The Geauga County Genealogical Society will host Genealogy Help Night at the Chardon Library, 110 E. Park St. in Chardon. Society genealogists and researchers will lead individual and group discussions on how to use the U.S. Census, family group sheets, pedigree charts and examples of what can be done with one’s research and photographic memories.

The program will begin after a short business meeting. The meeting is open to all, but registration is requested by visiting geaugalib.net and selecting Programs.
