Maple Splash Raffle Festival 

July 2, 4-9 p.m.

The Rotary Club of Burton Middlefield is hosting the Maple Splash Festival at Century Village in Burton. The event includes live music, food concessions, beer and wine tent, 50/50 raffle. Admission is free. Donations of nonperishable food items for the Veterans Food Pantry will be accepted.

Raffle tickets are $20; only 6,000 tickets will be sold. Grand prizes include a 2021 Ford Mustang, a diamond pendant, a chainsaw package, vacation package, kayak, flat screen TV, DeWalt tool package, portable generator and cash prizes ranging from $500 to $2,500. Grand prize drawings will be held at 8 p.m.

Holiday Polka Party

July 4, 1-7 p.m.

A holiday polka party will be held at SNPJ Farm, 10946 Heath Road, Kirtland. Gates open at noon. Enjoy live music featuring Eddie Klancik and Friends and the Zolka Band. Ethnic food will be available for purchase.

MHS Garage Sale

Middlefield Historical Society will hold its annual garage sale in conjunction with Middlefield Chamber of Commerce’s community-wide sale at Century Inn Underloft, 14979 South State Ave., Middlefield Village.

Rummage Sale

July 9, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A rummage sale will be held at the Claridon Town Hall, state Route 322 at Claridon-Troy Road. All proceeds will go to the building fund of Claridon Congregational Church to restore the sanctuary after the collapse of the ceiling in 2021.

Vendor Spaces Available

July 9, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Booth spaces are available at the 16th annual Geauga County Chapter of the Ohio Horseman’s Council’s (OHC) benefit flea market being held in the picnic shelters area of The West Woods, 9465 Kinsman Road in Russell Township.

Vendors may pay $25 for two parking spaces or $15 for a picnic table inside the shelter. The event is free for shoppers.

All vendor fees benefit the OHC and Bridle Trail Fund, administered by the Foundation for Geauga Parks on behalf of the Geauga County Chapter of the Ohio Horseman’s Council.

Thompson Township continues its free summer concert series on the square with country music by the Big North Band.

Master Gardeners Tour

July 12, 7-9 p.m.

The Geauga County Master Gardener Volunteers are hosting a tour of an 1838 Thompson Century Farm. The tour of the sustainable farm and large gardens will include a presentation by the owners on growing and selling cut flowers.

A potluck dinner will be provided. In case of rain, attendees will gather in the large barn.
