Musical Showcase
Oct. 26, 7-10 p.m.
For 10 years, GPD’s Maple Town Tune Traders have shared a variety of music the fourth Thursday of each month at The West Woods Nature Center, 9465 Kinsman Road in Russell Township.
Tune Traders has evolved into a fine showcase of music, with participants playing, singing or simply enjoying as audience, all genres, instruments and skill levels welcome. A piano is also provided.
For more accomplished singers and musicians, open mic performances are held 7-8:30 p.m. with sign-up on a first-come, first-served basis. A snack break is then followed by a round-robin jam session until 10 p.m.
For novice musicians, the format provides great chances to watch and learn, play along and hone skills. For student musicians preparing for an upcoming recital or performance, Tune Traders also provides a gentle, encouraging audience.
Audience members enjoy a relaxing evening of music. Admission is free. Snacks to share are welcome.
Registration is not required. For more information, contact Tune Traders host Dan Best at 440-279-0883.
