FD Easter Egg Hunt
Hambden Township Fire Department will hold its annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. April 4 at the township park. All Hambden children are welcome to attend
Age groups are: 3 and under, 4-6 and 7 and older. The groups will start about 10 minutes apart and are in separate roped off areas. Firefighters will help guide children to the appropriate areas. Eggs will contain prizes or candy.
This Easter egg hunt would not be possible without donations. If anyone is interested in donating for next year, please do so by purchasing tickets in exchange for a donation. There will be a drawing of gift baskets at the pavilion after last group finishes.
Thanks go to Hambden Alliance Church for providing the refreshments again this year and to the Hambden Fire Department Easter Egg Hunt Committee for sponsoring the event.
Spring Trash Day
Spring Trash Day will be held April 25 at the township park from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Appliances, building materials, televisions, lawn equipment and miscellaneous items will be accepted.
Tire recycling will be offered; a limit of eight per person. Car or light truck tires only; no commercial truck or tractor tires. All tires must be removed from the rims.
The township cannot take garbage, yard waste, chemicals or paint.
Habitat for Humanity will once again have a truck present for donations of clean household items in good repair, furniture that has no stains or tears, building materials, light fixtures, bath or kitchen fixtures and miscellaneous items.
Trash day is for Hambden residents only. Residents may be asked for I.D.
For more information, call Lauri or Mary Ann the township hall at 440-286-4364.
Computer Recycling
There is a container for computer recycling located at the township park. When bringing items to be recycled, please only leave them if there is room in the recycling box.
The township can no accept televisions for recycling. Televisions will be taken at trash day, however. Thanks for your help.
