Hambden Congregational Church

Welcomes Rolling Thunder on May 17 at the 10 a.m. service. Bikes will meet at Chardon Square at 9:30 a.m., rain or shine.

Come and help us salute our veterans and invite family and friends.

Jack Martin will be playing the bagpipes and a blessing of the bikes will follow the service. There will also be a picnic to follow at Hambden Township Park.

The Chardon VFW will be on hand to do the grilling. Hot dogs and hamburgers are provided. Please bring a dish to share.

The church is on state Route 6 across from Hambden Elementary School.

Computer Recycling Discontinued

Hambden Township is no longer going to have computer recycling at the township park. The container should have been removed by now.

The township regrets having to do this, but people continued to put televisions in the container, as well as vacuum cleaners and other non-computer items. Unfortunately, Hambden has no way to recycle these items either. Hopefully, you were able to bring your televisions to trash day. If not, we are sorry that we cannot help you recycle them.

Hambden Highlights

The spring edition of the township newsletter should have arrived last week. If anyone did not receive one, please call the township hall at 440-286-4364 to have one sent out and to be put on the mailing list for next time.

Firehouse Rib Dinner

Hambden firefighters are once again cooking for moms on Mother’s Day. They are preparing a take home rib dinner, so mom can relax and enjoy her special day.

Dinner includes St. Louis pork spare ribs, potato wedges, beans, slaw and a drink. A full slab dinner is $20 and a half slab dinner is $16.

Stop by and pick it up between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Delivery is available for safety forces.

Call 440-285-3329 to order or purchase tickets from any Hambden firefighter. They will let you know if they can still take orders.
