American Red Cross blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.

Those who come out to donate blood or platelets by May 14 will have a chance to win one of three $1,000 gift card shopping sprees from GiftCertificates.com.

The Geauga County General Health District will offer a walk-in immunization clinic for children and adolescents through the age of 18 at First United Methodist Church, 14999 S. State Ave. in Middlefield.. Residents must present an immunization record as well as a primary insurance card.

NAMI Family and Friends Support Group presents “Coping Skills 101: Tools for Everyday Life” at 107 South St., NAMI Annex Room, Chardon.

STRIVE Cookout

Join STRIVE, a program designed for anyone ages 18-28 that is affected by or diagnosed with a mental illness, for a cookout at Deer Run Shelter at The West Woods, 9465 Kinsman Road in Russell Township. Enjoy s’mores, hot dogs and snacks provided by NAMI Geauga. Explore the park and play cornhole. Bring a game, snack or drink to share.
