The American Red Cross asks people to schedule time to give blood or platelets now to keep the blood supply stable ahead of the busy holiday season.
As a thank-you, those who come to give blood, platelets or plasma through Nov. 16, will receive $20 in e-gift cards to a merchant of choice.
Donation appointments may be made by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor app, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-733-2767.
