The Geauga County General Health District will offer a walk-in immunization clinic for children and adolescents through the age of 18 at Troy Community Center, 13950 Main Market Road in Troy Township.

The Geauga County General Health District will offer a walk-in immunization clinic for children and adolescents through the age of 18 at Troy Community Center, 13950 Main Market Road in Troy Township. Residents must present an immunization record as well as a primary insurance card.

American Red Cross blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.

Monthly NAMI Hikes

June 24, 10 a.m. to noon

Monthly NAMI hikes explore the Geauga Parks with easy, scenic strolls. Learn more about NAMI, make friends in the mental health community and get involved.

A brief hike led by a NAMI board member from 10-11 a.m. will be followed by light refreshments and a presentation at the park pavilion from 11 a.m. to noon.

The first hike will take place at Big Creek Park – Maple Grove Shelter, 9160 Robinson Road, Chardon.

Help For Mental Illness

Geauga County National Alliance on Mental Illness offers support, education and advocacy for those affected by mental illness. A family support group meeting is held every Monday at 7 p.m. at the NAMI Geauga Annex, 107 South St., in Chardon.

A support meeting is also held the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at Middlefield United Methodist Church, 14999 South State Ave.

The groups are free for family members, partners and friends of individuals with mental health conditions.
