Beginning July 1, Geauga County Health District’s immunization clinics for children and adolescents through the age of 18 will be by appointment only.
Children with Medicaid will still be accepted as well as children without vaccine coverage through their insurance plan. Insurance and self-pay will no longer be an option for payment after July 1.

Bloodmobile
American Red Cross blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.

Help For Mental Illness
Geauga County National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) offers support, education and advocacy for those affected by mental illness.
NAMI Basics is a free, six-week education program for parents and caregivers of youth under the age of 22 who are experiencing mental health challenges. The free class will meet six consecutive Mondays, beginning July 9, from 4-6:30 p.m., at the NAMI Geauga office, 107 South St. in Chardon.
Family to Family is a free, 12-week education class for family members or loved ones of a person with a mental health condition. Class runs Thursdays, July 12 to Sept. 27, from 6 8:30 p.m.

NAMI Community Garden is now open every Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Tuesdays from 8-10 a.m. Come for free produce, volunteer opportunities, support and networking. Call the office or email bolsen@namigeauga.org with any questions.
