Opioid Crisis: Update for Business Community

Geauga Growth Partnership presents The Opioid Crisis: Updates, Treatment Options & Workplace Policyat Kent State University at Geauga, 14111 Claridon-Troy Road, Burton.

Hear updates from experts on the opioid crisis and its impacts on businesses. A series of brief presentations will address topics, such as the current state of the crisis in the region, new drugs or trends and warning signs. Presenters will share advancements in treatment options and resources, and the impacts of addiction on workplace policies and responses.

Walk-In Immunization Clinics

Oct. 22 and Nov. 5, 1-5 p.m.

The Geauga County Health District, in partnership with University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center, is holding two walk-in clinics for children ages two months to 18 years old.

The clinics will be available to children who are underinsured, without insurance or have Medicaid at Middlefield First United Methodist Church, 14999 S. State Ave., Middlefield. Please bring the child’s immunization records.

Domestic Violence Awareness Walk

Oct. 25, 4:30-7 p.m.

Support victims in Geauga County by joining the End The Silence and Stop Domestic Violence Awareness Walk. The walk will lead off at 6:30 p.m. from Century Village, proceed around Burton square and end back at Century Village.

Judge Terri Stupica will speak on steps that concerned citizens can take to help end abuse in their neighborhoods. Many county agencies will have tables set up with empowering activities for families.
