The Geauga County General Health District offers walk-in immunization clinics for children and adolescents through the age of 18.

2017 Immunization Clinics

The Geauga County General Health District offers walk-in immunization clinics for children and adolescents through the age of 18. Residents must present an immunization record as well as a primary insurance card.

The following is a list of upcoming immunization clinics:

Middlefield, June 15, First United Methodist Church, 14999 S. State Ave., 3-6 p.m.

Middlefield, June 21, First United Methodist Church, 14999 S. State Ave., 9-11:30 a.m.

Troy, June 28, Troy Community Center, 13950 Main Market Road, 9-11:30 a.m.

To better serve the residents of Geauga County, beginning Sept. 1, the health district’s clinic schedules will be changing. Chardon morning immunization clinics will no longer be offered on the first Wednesday of each month. Middlefield morning immunization clinics will no longer be offered on the third Wednesday of the month.

Adult immunizations, TB test and blood pressure screenings will only be offered on the first and third Friday of each month.

Bloodmobile

American Red Cross blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.

Monthly NAMI Hikes

June 24, 10 a.m. to noon

Monthly NAMI hikes explore the Geauga Parks with easy, scenic strolls. Learn more about NAMI, make friends in the mental health community and get involved.

A brief hike led by a NAMI board member from 10-11 a.m. will be followed by light refreshments and a presentation at the park pavilion from 11 a.m. to noon.

The first hike will take place at Big Creek Park – Maple Grove Shelter, 9160 Robinson Road, Chardon.

Community Health Assessment

June 29, 1:30 p.m.

Geauga County Health District will present the 2016 Community Health Assessment for Geauga County at the Geauga County Library Administration Center, 12701 Ravenwood Drive, Chardon. It is a comprehensive collection and analysis of data regarding health issues, available services and opportunities for action in the community.

The Community Health Assessment was conducted to identify issues in the community and strategically collaborate with other county agencies to better serve Geauga County residents.

A primary goal of the assessment is to help increase awareness of the community’s current health status through specific health indicators and seek resident input regarding issues and areas of concern.
