The 45th annual Huntsburg Pumpkin Festival will be held Oct. 4-5.

Government

Trustees meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the town hall.

All township meetings are open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend. Call 440-636-5486 for more information. The next meeting is Oct. 7.

Roads

The board is aware large sections of many township roads suffered from the severe winter last year and there is much to be repaired. Many areas will not receive dust control this year, but will be graded and graveled preparing for next year’s dust control application.

Holes do and will continue to develop and maintenance crews will continue to patch and fill as best they can.

Our limited road budget is an ongoing concern and does not allow all roads to receive complete dust control coverage each year. Only a few areas will be retreated each year as funding allows.

Zoning

Zoning Inspector Frank Corrao III wishes to remind all residents to obtain a zoning permit before making any construction changes of any kind. The zoning office can be reached at 440-636-5486 ext. 3; leave a message.

The zoning board of appeals will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 22 to hear an appeal by Mr. Stutsman for a conditional use permit for a metal working home business at 17217 Huntley Road.
