Mommy and Me Classes
The fall session of Notre Dame Elementary Preschool’s Mommy and Me classes for children 18 months to 3 years will meet Thursdays from 1:15-2:30 p.m. or Fridays from 8-9:15 a.m.

Prescription Drug Disposal
The Geauga County Sheriff’s Office, 12450 Merritt Road, Munson, will accept unwanted prescription drugs Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
It is the ninth opportunity in four years to give the public free disposal of harmful drugs that can possibly cause abuse and theft. The DEA will not accept liquids, sharps or needles. Identity not required; no questions asked.
Sisters of NDCL BBQ
The Sisters of Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin barbecue and boutique will be held Sept. 28, rain or shine, from noon-5 p.m., at the NDCL Education Center, 13000 Auburn Road in Munson. The menu includes chicken at $12 or ribs at $15.
Tickets are available only at the door. There will also be raffles, a country store and more.
At the Senior Center
Dennis R. Sutcliffe will relate a piece of Cleveland history at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Munson. The interesting speech will describe the jazz age of the 1920s, the era of prohibition and the Cleveland Indians baseball team sidetracked by an unspeakable tragedy just as it is hoping to gain a World Series title. Reservations are not required.
Household Habits for Healthy Water
The Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District will present a free, informative program on maintaining healthy water in one’s home and surroundings on Oct. 1 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Chester Township Fire Rescue, 8552 Parkside Drive in Chester Township. Information will be offered on household products that are potentially hazardous.
Refreshments served. Reservations are required no later than Sept. 29.

WomenSafe Amish Dinner
The Friends of WomenSafe, an all-volunteer organization, will hold its annual Amish Wedding Dinner at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at Yoder’s Home Cooking, 14729 Patch Road in Burton.
Cost is $30 per adult and $15 for children under 10. There will also be a Chinese auction, gift certificates, 50/50 raffle and more.

Proceeds benefit the free accommodations and services offered to victims of domestic violence at WomenSafe’s Green House on Ravenna Road in Munson.
Free Sunday Dinner
St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road, Munson, will offer a free Sunday dinner on Oct. 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Fellowship Room. There will be a choice of soups, breads and desserts. Donations are appreciated, but not necessary. To help prepare or serve the dinner, or for more information, call 440-285-4641.
With the Arts
The Wasmer Art Gallery at Ursuline College, 2550 Lander Road, Pepper Pike, presents a spectacular collage of famous designers’ women’s apparel ongoing through Oct. 31. The show was coordinated by Dr. Constance Korosec, professor and chairwoman of Ursuline’s fashion department.
There will be a gallery fashion flick, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” at 7 p.m. Oct. 23.
