In my May 28 column regarding the Chardon Toastmasters Club, I erroneously noted that membership in the organization is free. Membership is open to all, but there is a fee.

With the Arts
The sixth annual May Show is now on at Lakeland Community College in the Gallery of the Performing Arts Center. The show features many well-known local artists and is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The show continues through July 10.

Rummage Sale
Peace Lutheran Church, 12686 Bass Lake Road, Munson, will hold a rummage sale June 4 and 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and June 6, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be excellent, clean items for all ages at bargain prices.

At the Senior Center
On June 9, the Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Munson, will hold the following events: Joint Community Garden of Kent State will offer free vegetable plants to seniors from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; a representative from UHHS Geauga will speak on protecting oneself from the hazards of too much sun during the summer months at 11 a.m.; and round dancing class from 1-2:30 p.m. Volunteers are also needed on June 9 at 4:30 p.m. to help clean up the garden beds. With the Genealogical Society
Margaret Cheney, Ohio Genealogical Society president, will be the guest speaker at the Geauga County Genealogical Society (GCGS) meeting on June 9 at 7 p.m. at the Chardon Library. Cheney will discuss finding someone before every name was listed on a census.
The meeting is free and open to all. Preregistration is not necessary.

Tri-County Coin Club
The Tri-County Coin Club will meet June 11 at 6:45 p.m. at St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road, Munson. Following a short business meeting, there will be a 50-plus-lot coin auction, door prizes, coin displays and more.

90th Birthday Party
Reservations are now available for a 90-Plus Birthday Party honoring senior residents of Geauga County, 90 years and over, given by the Geauga County Department on Aging on July 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Notre Dame Education Center, 13000 Auburn Road, Munson.
Cost is free for those 90 and older and $15 for other guests. Call 440-279-2130 for reservations and payment information.
