Chardon Schools Memorabilia
The Chardon School District is seeking memorabilia of all types for all the schools in the district for a traveling display for this year’s birthday celebration. Items, which should be clearly labeled with name, phone number and whether or not they should be returned, can be dropped off at the Chardon Board of Education office, 428 North St., Chardon.
Congratulations
The Munson Board of Trustees has issued a resolution honoring Ian Patrick Leisure on his achievement of the Rank of Eagle Scout as a member of Boy Scout Troop 261, Chardon. Ian’s Eagle Scout project was a completion of an 8-foot fire pit composed of decorative landscape bricks for the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2261 of Chardon. Ian plans to be in the U.S. Marine Corps.
The resolution becomes part of the township’s permanent records. A reception honoring Ian will be held at the Munson Township Hall on Sept. 27 from 2-4 p.m.

At the Senior Center
The Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive in Munson, offers Adult Day Services Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Round-trip transportation is available. Amateur Radio Association
The Geauga Amateur Radio Associa-tion (GARA) will meet 7:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Geauga County Emergency Operations Center, 12518 Merritt Road, Munson. Meetings are open to all licensed “hams” and those who are interested in becoming familiar with this type of international talk radio.

The Friends of WomenSafe, an all-volunteer organization, offers an Amish Style Wedding Dinner at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at Yoder’s Home Cooking, 14729 Patch Road, Burton. Free Sunday Dinner
St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road, Munson, offers a free Sunday dinner Oct. 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Fellowship Room. There will be soups, breads, desserts and more.
