Senior Center Bus Trip
The Chardon Senior Center invites Chardon senior residents to enjoy lunch and a movie on Jan. 14. Lunch will be at Panera Bread and the movie at Chagrin Cinema, with transportation provided by bus that will depart the senior center at 11 a.m. Cost for transportation and movie ticket is $9. Silk-Painting Classes
World-renowned silk-painting artist Gunter Schwegler will offer half-day classes beginning Jan. 7 from 1-4:30 p.m. at the Orange Senior Center on Chagrin Road, just east of Lander Circle in Pepper Pike. For cost, registration and information, call Nancy Haag, 216-831-1601, ext. 5701.
Al-Anon Meeting
The next meeting of Al-Anon (Alcoholics Anonymous) will be Jan. 8 from 8-9 p.m. at St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519, Wilson Mills Road, Munson. Al-Anon offers support and encouragement to those seeking to overcome an addiction to alcoholic beverages. The meetings are free. Preregistra-tion is not required. Geauga Walkers
The Geauga Walkers will meet Jan. 12 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Geauga Park District’s Rookery on Cedar and Rockhaven roads in Munson. The Geauga Walkers weekly hikes are for senior residents and usually are one to one and one-half miles long.
The hike will be cancelled if the outdoor temperature is 20 degrees or lower. For more information, call 440-279-2137.
Recycling Bins
Items from Christmas gifts (boxes, wrapping paper and ribbons) should be carefully separated before disposal in the bins provided behind the Munson Fire Station. Please use the bins as marked: paper and cardboard and plastic items in the green bins marked accordingly across the lot.
There is also a small bin at the entrance to the disposal lot for outdated computers and parts. Please do not leave items on the ground.

Reminder
Munson Township graduating high school seniors, class of June 2016, are encouraged to apply for the $500 scholarships offered by Munson Township. Applications, which must be returned no later than Jan. 11, are available at all area high schools and the township office.
