Homecoming 2014

Homecoming weekend began with a community open house hosted by the Newbury Board of Education. It was a rainy night, but despite the weather, many Black Knights showed up to cheer on their team. The Knights rocked the Spartans at Carl Munn Stadium.

At halftime, the students of the homecoming court were announced, each being escorted through the tunnel of band members by their parents. The freshmen on court were Abigail Grubbs and John Chambers. Following the freshmen were sophomores Annie Kinkopf and Jonah Hamby followed by juniors Carly Richards and Zack Temple.

Finally, the seniors made their debut. The female court included Ashley Wakeley, Heather Ule, Crystal Modic and Keona Marker and the male court was Schuyler Spivey, Jim Levesque, Justin Cascone, Ben Elia and Frankie Vierling.

After each member of the court was introduced, the winners of prince, princess, king and queen were announced. Jim Levesque won the place of prince, and the princess was Ashley Wakeley. The crowd went wild for the king, Schuyler Spivey, and the queen, Heather Ule.

The end of the game was a nail biter as the Black Knights pulled out a win with a score of 21-20. It was all around a great Homecoming night. The dance was held on Saturday evening and the students enjoyed a Hollywood themed event.

Congratulations go out to the Newbury Black Knight football team and their fabulous homecoming court.
