Best Kept Secrets, Revealed
Geauga County parks are bursting with hidden gems to explore and incredible nature to behold.
The Hidden Gems Hike series kicks off with a visit to Whitlam Woods in Chardon Township on March 4, from 10-11:30 a.m., and a visit to Affelder Falls at The West Woods on March 25, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Plan to attend the Bald Eagle Hike on March 4, from 2-4 p.m. at Headwaters Park, where a naturalist will share facts about these majestic birds, then hike to an active nest in search of eagle activity.
The naturalist-led hikes will be held rain or shine. Registration is not required.
1917 Vacation

Follow the adventures of a Cleveland family vacationing in Geauga County 100 years ago as they visit Chesterland Caves and Bass Lake, traveling by steamship, interurban rail and auto, during 1917 Vacation: Geauga’s Land of Lakes & Ledges, a naturalist-led program at The West Woods Nature Center.
Registration is not required.
