Parking Lot Food Truck Party

Valley Presbyterian Church in Bainbridge Township welcomed its mission partners – Homeless Hookup CLE and Metro 45 Food Truck – to a parking lot party after worship on Aug. 27.

Homeless Hookup CLE is a non-profit organization that helps the homeless throughout the Cleveland area. Dean Roff, founder and executive director, shared with the congregation the story about how he followed his passion to help those in need. After worship, he offered tours of the Hygiene Bus and Comfort Station.

On Aug. 19, Valley members and friends packed over 200 hygiene bags filled with socks, shampoo, razors, lotion and more for Roff to distribute to the homeless he encounters. On Aug. 27, Valley hosted a market table of handmade and homegrown goods that raised over $300 for Homeless Hookup CLE

Valley also, welcomed the Metro 45 food truck – a culinary training mission arm of Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries helping formerly homeless and at-risk folks gain the skill necessary to work in the food industry.
