Senior Featured On Wills & Snyder In the Morning Show
NDCL senior running back Dominic DiFranco spoke to Bill and Mike on the “Wills & Snyder In the Morning Show” on WTAM1100 about Rush for a Cause (RFAC) on Sept. 18.
Dominic has set a goal of raising $10,000 for RFAC this season.
Please consider supporting Dominic by making a donation to RFAC on his donation page: www.rushforacause.org, or by making a pledge based upon the number of yards he rushes during the season. The more yards Dominic rushes, the greater the donation. One may place a cap on the total donation.
Donations, with checks made payable to Rush For A Cause, may also be sent to: Rush For A Cause, P.O. Box 41327, Brecksville, OH 44141. Please write Dominic DiFranco or NDCL on the memo line so the donation is applied to his goal.
Mission Trip to Nicaragua
NDCL will once again partner with International Partners in Mission (IPM) for an immersion experience in Nicaragua over Easter break.
The trip will include visits with several groups that are making a difference in the lives of children and women in their communities and time with the Sisters of Notre Dame on mission in Jinotega, Nicaragua.
“The Nicaragua Immersion is a great opportunity for your child to broaden her/his experience of another culture and our sisters and brothers in another country,” said Director of Campus Ministry Greg Welch.
An information meeting for parents and interested students will be held on Oct. 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the NDCL Chapel. Representatives from both IPM and NDCL will explain more about the trip and will be available for questions.
CYO Nights Scheduled
NDCL will host CYO football, soccer and volleyball nights for prospective students and their families in the next few weeks.
All CYO players in uniform and their parents will be admitted free. Students who bring a report card with at least one “A” from the current academic year or last year will receive free admission with their families.
Mark calendars for the following nights: Sept. 26, boys soccer vs. Riverside, Lion Stadium, junior varsity at 5 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m.; Sept. 30, girls soccer vs. Chagrin Falls, Lion Stadium, junior varsity at 5 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m.; Sept. 27, football vs. Toledo Woodward, “A-Team” Night, Lion Stadium, 7 p.m.; and Oct. 1, volleyball vs. Walsh Jesuit, McGarry Gymnasium, freshman and junior varsity at 5 p.m. followed by varsity.
Bloodmobile At NDCL Sept. 27
NDCL’s first Red Cross blood drive of the year will occur Sept. 27 in the Baker gym. The Red Cross encourages all healthy persons who are at least 16 years old and who weigh at least 100 pounds to donate. Sixteen-year-olds need a signed parental permission form to donate.
Parents and other relatives who wish to donate blood should feel free to come to school at their convenience during the school day on Friday.
Visit ndcl.org to register as a donor.
