Senior citizens who live in one of the townships or villages listed below and have unwanted items that need to be picked up at their homes may sign up for trash pick-up days.
Register with the Geauga County Department on Aging (GDA) by the cut-off day or earlier. Once registered, seniors can be placed on the trash pick-up roster. To receive trash pickup assistance, one must be 60 years of age or older and live in the village, township or city holding the pickup.
Hambden Township:April 19 and 20. Registration cutoff is April 12.
Munson Township:April 23 and 24. Registration cutoff is April 16.
South Russell Village:April 25-27. Registration cutoff is April 18.
Bainbridge Township: April 30, May 1 and 2. Registration cutoff is April 23.
For specific allowable trash guidelines or to register for the pickup, call the Department on Aging weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 440- 279-2129 or 440-279-2130. When signing up for pickup, please have a list of items that need to be removed.
